1. Go to Rhinebeck for the New York Sheep and Wool Festival. If possible, buy some DK-weight superwash wool in orange and turquoise from Maple Creek Farms.
2. Investigate how to steek with superwash wool. Don't be afraid to mess up a swatch. Hopefully you'll find a good solution in the end.
3. Consider knitting Eunny Jang's Deep-V Argyle Vest.
4. Don't worry too much about the nearly-impossible-to-attain gauge on the pattern. I figured out my own gauge on size 6 needles, and knit the vest to my measurements-- my standard hip and bust measurements and waist shaping with no ease.
5. Take time to laugh at yourself (right when the camera clicks) when the passenger in a car driving by figures out you're taking self-portraits.
6. Take advantage of the fact that your neighbor has a bedspread drying on her back deck.
7. Love the new vest you knit, and consider wearing it in the fall when it is not quite so hot outside.
So! Cute! I really love how the blue/orange combo in the background (between the larger diamonds) reads like a totally third color. It might not in real life, but in the pictures, it reads gray. In a good way, of course.

I am so glad you have gotten it done. If I lived closer or maybe even knew where you lived, I would go steal it off of you, because it is so cool.
I hope you have fun wearing it this fall looking all smart and trendy with those colors.

looks fabulous!
I really thought that was wallpaper till I read it wasn't.
You take good self timer pics, I always look weird when I try to do it.

It looks fantastic--love the haircut, too! (And, I'd nominate you for the Best Use of a Neighbor's Laundry, if there were such a thing.)

Wow, it's gorgeous - great colour and fit!
And as to your list of things to do, now that you've already done them, I'm glad I don't have to. :-0

Oh, it is fab! :-) And you must always wear it with that necklace, ok? :-) They look wonderful together!

Love it! If the weather cools off a bit, you could probably wear it with just a tank underneath like in your FOtos. Your neighbor has a really cool bedspread too.

Oh wow I love it! I bet you wear it all the time come winter -- it fits so well and is just smashing! I love the pics in front of the bedspread. Great bit of inspiration, there.

It looks amazing! Well done!
I also love your neighbour's bed spread. It's the perfect backdrop for this photo shoot.

Wow! I love it! It really turned out awesome. Is it wrong that I love the neighbor's bedspread too? LOL.

So. Fabulous. Colors, fit, everything is perfect! Now if I go to Rhinebeck and follow your next steps exactly, will I end up with a totally awesome vest, too? Or am I just coming up with yet-more-ridiculous reasons to go to Rhinebeck??

All are very good suggestions! I will keep them in mind. Love(1000) the vest!
