.... but no blue. It's just not one of my colors :) We're getting ready to leave this afternoon for our annual family reunion / clam bake in Rhode Island, so I'll be offline for a few days. I thought I'd tell you about one more dress before I left.
The pattern is Butterick 6582, one from Butterick's retro line of dresses. I love it. I think it's one of my favorite dresses that I've made. I had been wanting to a have a red dress with white dots for a long time, so much so that I was willing to buy a polyester blend fabric at JoAnn's. It's not quite as nice as all cotton fabric, but I forgive it!
I finished the dress completely, and then I decided that it needed pockets. It turns out that knitting isn't the only medium where you an add afterthought pockets! I snipped apart some of the seam and added them in.
The full skirt is very comfortable, and it's a lot of fun to wear. Also, it's really easy to move around in a dress like this!

It's a great dress. I was just looking back over some of your old posts and I realize you got your hair cut - it looks great! Can I ask, do you wear bike shorts under your dresses? Because I chafe and so tend to wear pants. But I like dresses. It's a dilemma.
