Bea

I like the socks. I don't think they are ugly at all! The sweater is looking really good too. I am impressed with improvising.

tiennie

Very nice WIPs - especially since they make you happy!

jody

i think the socks are super-fun, and like i said the other night, they're super-kristy too. if they make you smile every time you look at them, then they're *perfect*

since i like playing match that yarn, what's the latest color? it looks gray/blue on my monitor but i can't place the original socks (maybe the koigu kat bordhi socks - are they done too?!)

Mintyfresh

Is it a shadow or does there appear to be a slight dye lot change on the sweater? I hate pointing this out, but I guess better to see it now than later? And I certainly could be wrong, anyway.

Kelly

ohhh what a great idea for those socks!!! Can't wait to see the sweater.

nova

I concur with Minty. The part closer to the needles seem darker, I hope it is a shadow or an intentional design feature! I love Kathmandu Aran Tweed. Like many things (too many, really), it makes me happy.

stacey

Love the socks! I've been toying with the idea of doing something similar....

The sweater is great - sounds like we are doing very similar things - lots of provisional cast on! I just got a bag of the Kathmandu Aran at Webs last week in orange. LOVE IT!

Jessica

The socks are very cool and you are totally flying on them! Can't wait to see how the sweater progresses. Sounds intriguing.

Cynthia

I LOVE the socks! Great idea. And the sweater looks great too. Purple stripe...perfect.

Kim

I love the socks. Not ugly at all. All those ends to weave in are scaring me though. I'm looking forward to seeing your moss stitch yoke. I loves me some moss stitch.

Lindsey

I love the socks too - the adjective that comes to my mind is "fun." They're very festive! Then again, I am a sucker for stripes, too!

Tanya

I love the socks (and the sweater). I plan on doing something like that when I have enough bits n pieces to work with. Are you mixing fibers or sticking to just wools?

Jean

The socks are coming out great. All the color changes are really fun *and* you get the satisfaction of using up a bunch of leftovers. Love that! The sweater looks gorgeous. Great idea for the sleeves. Can't wait to watch this shape up!

Beth S.

Pretty. Definitely pretty. And fun! Just watch, Trekking is going to copy you and make a sock yarn that does this on purpose.

Leann

Why not try two circulars? Then you can stay even because you knit across the front of both (instep) and back of both (sole) socks around and around! It has saved me from second sock syndrome!

Ruth

I love the socks - very festive - and why shouldn't feet be festive?

sharon

I like the idea for using up those little bits on the socks (the colors too). Looks like you got pretty far on the sweater since I saw you last. Happy Friday!

Brenda

I like the socks!
The sweater is such a gorgeous color. I've been swatching with some Takhi Donegal Tweed, which is a pretty rustic tweed, and stockinette is where the "tweedness" really shines. Looking forward to seeing what you plan, as it sounds intriguing.

Have a great weekend!

stacey

I love the idea of using up those yarn scraps for socks! And the sweater looks delicious so far - a nice fabric.

Ariel

What a great idea! Note to self: was brilliant to obsessively save leftover sock yarn nubbins. And mmmm...tweedy.

Sacha

Aww you are making the said little sock yarn leftovers happy in a sock!

That makes me feel warm and fuzzy. :)
