David's family has a tradition of spending New Year's doing the things that we want to do the rest of the year. In years past we would make sure to spend times with friends and family, eat good food, and (in my case) knit. This year we added something new.
David and I got married in a small ceremony at his father's house on New Year's Eve.
Our parents were all able to attend, as well as other family and close friends.
Everything went so well, even better than we hoped. I wore a dress made by my mother, her veil, and also a stole and garter made by some close friends. More pictures of those once I get them from relatives.
We're still going to have a big wedding in April with all of our family and friends, but I'm so happy we had a small ceremony as well. Besides, the evening went by so quickly that I'm happy that I'll get to do it again!
Happy New Year!

Congratulations! That is so exciting!
