So, here's the thing: I have to knit socks for my Sockapalooza pal. I'm not going to be able to finish all of my single socks AND the Sockpal socks by August 2 (maybe I could, but I don't want that kind of stress), so I've got another single sock to do. That would bring my single sock count to 10.

Dave and Pam both suggested that I should do eleven single socks, you know, because of my blog's name. While I was originally overwhelmed by this thought, now it means just one more sock. There just happens to be a new sock pattern that is very, very intriguing, and it just so happens that I'm now finished with Act 1.

OK, maybe the above reasoning wasn't so much at the forefront of my thoughts as the "Oh my goodness I want to knit this sock right now and I have the perfect yarn for it" reasoning was. In any case, here I am. I'm back in the Single Sock Liberation Movement for another two socks, and I'm very happy about it.
I'm still knitting on other non-sock projects. I'm very excited about them it too!
ETA: The new Knitty is up!
and it marches on....
My 4yo is looking over my shoulder and says that your socks are very pretty!

I've been eyeing the Sherbet colorway on the Blue Moon site for some time and wondering how it would knit up. Now I know and it's looking great (less orangey than I would've guessed). I feel the Sidewinder calling to me as well so I 'm looking forward to seeing how you like it and how yours turns out. 11 single socks for 11 Stitches makes a lot of sense.

looks like you've got to do 11 now! i don't think i've seen your sockpal's yarn knitted up until now. if at all possible, it seems brighter than it did in the ball, which is just perfect for what her prefs were :)

Very pretty! I'm curious as to how you like the Sidewinders pattern. I'm sure nona wrote an excellent pattern, but to my non-visually oriented brain, it looks too complex.

My sockapalooza sock will be my next single sock...but probably quickly followed by it's mate...I am not as prolofic a sock knitter as you...but a girl can dream! I think those sidewinders are going to look great in the Wollmeise.

Rock on with your single sock knitting self! S'okay with us, cause it's so much fun to watch. I can't wait to see how 10 and 11 turn out! You can easily push the pairs deadline back. Maybe Sept. 21 (first day of autumn) would be a good, new deadline? Or screw the deadlines completely and just finish whenever you finish. Either way, it's *your* knitting. Have fun.
