Here are the promised pictures of what I got at Loop.
Malabrigo Worsted Weight in Rhodesian, 3 skeins. Destined to become a cable-y baby sweater.
Koigu KPPPM in P602 and P415
Schaefer Anne in Shan. I've been wanting to try this yarn, and this was my first time to see it in person. I'm excited to work with it!
I also picked up a copy of Knitting on the Road. I've seen a lot of great socks from this collection patterns, and I'm happy to now own a copy.
Yesterday David and I went to New York. We had tickets for this:
And we also got to go backstage afterwards and meet the star of the show! David is friends with Bebe's father, and he made sure we got to meet her. Getting buzzed in to go backstage? So cool.
Bebe was so nice, and we had a lot of fun talking to her about the show. I feel so fortunate that I got to meet her and see her perform!

Very cool, indeed! It looks like you had a wonderful time. Is that David in the pic with you? He's cute!

Very cool weekend, Kristy! I've always liked to watch Bebe Neuwirth; she's so talented.
Fantastic Koigu colors!
Two things to keep in mind with the Anne: first, be careful untwisting the skein, it is easy to get it twisted badly, much more so than with other yarns. Second, if you plan to make socks, I'd make a test swatch or wee sockie and wash it first. I know two different people (one a machine washer and the other a hand washer) who had their Anne socks shrink and NOT stretch back. I have some Anne in my stash, and it is lovely yarn, but my friend's results have me a little spooked. I'm curious to know how it goes for you!

How neat!!!! What a great way to top off some yarn shopping! KOTR is one of my favorite sock books - a lot of patterns for bigger gauge sock yarns...

Great yarn choices (it's funny, I never see any colorways of Anne I like in person, but I see them on blogs all the time!). That's so cool that you got to see and go back stage for Chicago!
